​Mission Statement

The mission of the Jamestown Bar Association is to protect and promote the professional interests of its members, to foster pride in the profession, encourage civility and collegiality in the practice of law, provide, sponsor or facilitate continuing legal education, oversee legal ethics of members, and increase public awareness and understanding of the crucial role played by the legal profession and legal system in society.  


The Jamestown Bar Association was founded on May 25, 1900 for the purpose of cultivating the science of jurisprudence; promoting reforms in the law; facilitating the administration of justice; elevating the standards of integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession; and cherishing the spirit of brotherhood among the members of the association.
